Milo Night:
Spectacular performances of stories enacted had our children enthralled in fun and great laughter. From delicious milo and hot chocolate to marshmallows and biscuits, learners were treated to an amazing night to remember.
Senior Primary Sports Day:
A successfully run event from intense organisation with every athlete knowing exactly what is expected of them. Our children’s excellent behaviour on the stands while keeping a riveting atmosphere of excitement showed a high emotional quotient. This is due to educators who work hard to ensure all areas are covered under the sport leadership of Mr Singh… “Thank you” and “Well done” to our hard-working Grade 4 to 7 educators.
Results were as follows…
Winners’ Cup: Clarendon – 340 Runners up Cup: Athlone – 321

District Spelling Bee Competition Report:
The Umlazi District / EThekwini Municipality Spelling Bee Competition for Grade 4 – 6 learners took place earlier this month. MPS was represented by the winner of our School Spelling Bee Competition, Narayani Naidu of Grade 4. Her ability to spell out complex words while under nerve-jangling pressure was impressive. She made the top 9 out of the 32 participating schools. Congratulations, Narayani! We are so proud of you.

Grade 5 Afrikaans Amazing Race:
On Friday, the 16th of August, the Grade 5’s took part in the Afrikaans Amazing Race. The school was abuzz with squeals of excitement and footsteps running through the corridors, as they took on 9 Afrikaans challenges. It was a close call on who finished first but ultimately it was me who won as I witnessed firsthand the amazing teamwork among the Grade 5’s and the eagerness to take on Afrikaans Challenges. I have never been prouder of our group of Grade 5’s! Report by Miss S. Bester
With warm regards
Mr N. Boodhoo
